Water Marbling Acrylic Colours
Water marbling is an ancient art form where papers are printed using inks that float on the surface of water to create mesmerizing patterns (which are then transferred to paper by dipping). When water marbling, no two designs will be alike, the surprise and unique quality of each design is part of the magic and mystique of this ancient art form.
To ensure the paint colours stay floating on the water's surface, add Magic Medium to a tray of water, or one can also use regular cornstarch added to cold water, boiled for 3 minutes and allowed to cool.
Magic Medium: an easy-to-use powder that mixes with water to create perfectly sized water that allows the marbling color to float. Available in 8 oz. jars
Surface Prep: dissolve the powder into warm water and soak into fabrics, or lightly sponge onto surfaces for greater color permanence. Available in 8 oz. jars.
