For thousands of years Native communities have developed their own distinct cultures and art forms. Common to all Native people is their deep connection to the land and to the animals with whom they live. Each animal drawing is accompanied by a quote from the artist. Through their art and their words, each artist has shared the importance of their personal and cultural relationship to the natural world.
