Who Says Trees Have To Be Green?

Using a playful palette of magenta, yellow, orange and blue-green, we will paint this scene step-by-step together. We will also be learning about diagonal plus perspective design, the juxtaposition of warm and cool hues, and lastly, opaque and transparent contrasts. Acrylic paints will be used in this workshop but the techniques learned can be applied to other media. (Painting dimension 6x12 inches.)

Intro to Watercolours

Watercolor is an unpredictable but very rewarding medium, worth getting to know! Join experienced teacher and watercolour artist Steve Quattrocchi to learn more about basic materials (such as brushes, paints and paper) and to learn basic watercolour techniques. Students will be painting a simple, spontaneous landscape with just a few colours!

Sage Cowan will demonstrate brush lettering techniques that would make anyone proud of their handwriting, plus she'll introduce participants to some standard journal layouts and some creative journal uses. Participants will leave with a personalized organization tool that will revolutionize the way you plan and live.
