Free Shipping
We ship from our shop in Nelson, BC via Canada Post across Canada, to the United States, and internationally. Parcel shipping is calculated at checkout by weight and destination. Office furniture and oversize/freight items are excluded from free shipping.
Shipping to the United States
We ship to all 50 states and U.S. territories via Canada Post, with prices shown in USD.
- Free shipping on orders over $100 USD
- $9.99 USD flat shipping on standard-size orders up to 2 kg
- Large flat or long items (anything that won’t fit a 12" × 16" footprint, such as desk pad calendars, wall planners, poster board, large art paper and tabloid binders) ship at a $25 USD flat rate and aren’t included in free shipping
- Heavier orders are calculated by weight at checkout; freight items are quoted separately
- Duties and import fees are calculated and collected at checkout, so there’s nothing extra to pay on delivery
International shipping
We ship worldwide via Canada Post, calculated by weight and destination at checkout. Import duties and taxes aren’t included and are collected by your country’s customs on delivery.
Oversize & freight items
Furniture, large boards, filing cabinets, machines, and other bulky or heavy goods are too large for standard parcel shipping, so they ship by freight. At checkout you’ll see “Oversize item — freight quoted separately” with a $75 freight deposit. After your order, we’ll contact you with the final freight cost before it ships. Free-shipping thresholds do not apply to oversize or freight items.

Shipping eligibility
Cowan’s reserves the right to determine which items qualify for free or standard shipping, including after an order has been placed. If an item is heavier, larger, or ships differently than our system estimated, we may adjust the shipping method or cost and will contact you before proceeding.
Returns
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase, with receipt. Return shipping is paid by the customer.

How soon will my order be ready?
- In stock — ready within a few hours.
- Special order, by 1 PM — usually ready the next business day.
- Special order, after 1 PM — usually ready within two business days.
Special-order timing is in business days (Monday–Friday) and depends on our suppliers and couriers — weather and other factors outside our control can occasionally add a day.
